November update
Spring continues to fill me with energy and inspiration.
I’m currently doing a lot of planning and dreaming, for my life and business. However, some of these plans seem to be achingly slow coming to fruition.
Learning to “go with the flow” has been a work in progress over the last three years. My approach to most things in life has always been determined and motivated but cancer encouraged me to hang back and learn to be patient. In the second part of my series about life after cancer, I explore the lingering psychological impact of a life-challenging disease.
A recent Queensland study found that almost everyone who experienced cancer, was psychologically impacted long after treatment has ended. Learning I’m not alone was a huge relief. But the good news is, with appropriate help and reflection, I’ve come out the other side better than ever.
Speaking of trauma, a special shout out to my fellow New Zealanders. It has been an especially tough week for those isolated by impassable roads near the epicentre. Wellingtonians have also been thrown into chaos with a combination of wild weather, floods and a growing number of buildings declared unsafe due to the quakes. Regardless of where you are, these natural remedies for stress may help you through this difficult time.
Speaking of stress, on LinkedIn I’ve published an article for managers about the French “right to disconnect” law. Take a look if you’re interested in leading a calmer and more productive team.
Other recent posts include my super easy pickled preserved lemon recipe and the first in a series about home remedies – how to make your own cough syrups (because a lot of you are coughing at the moment!)
As the end of the year approaches, don’t miss out on a naturopathic or mentoring session to keep you well and inspired. I have Skype consultations for naturopathy/health coaching and business mentoring available until December 16.
For those looking for gifts already, I have gift vouchers available at the click of your mouse.
I hope you can find the time to take in the beauty of spring or autumn in your part of the world.
