November update & holiday dates
What a month it’s been already! The first few weeks of November bought us a resounding YES vote to the (unnecessary and stressful) marriage equality postal survey, as well as the historic voluntary euthanasia bill passing the upper house of the Victorian parliament. I know both pieces of soon-to-be legislation, will make a huge impact on the lives of many of us.
In the meantime, life goes on. There’s the usual feeling that time is speeding up and the year is almost over. But before then, there is so much to get done! November is especially busy for me as I’m opting out of the seasonal craziness and heading overseas for most of December.
Clinic closed 7 Dec 2017 – 8 Jan 2018
My last session for 2017 is on Wednesday 6 December and I’ll be reopening on Monday 8 January. Before then, there are still a few consultations available, including one Saturday morning appointment remaining.

Herb and supplement online ordering
I’ve recently formulated some more of my favourite organic herbal teas, including delicious relaxing, hay fever and digestive blends. These can be posted interstate, if you’re not in Sydney. You don’t need to be a client to place an order. Teas also make a thoughtful gift.
As my new clinic dispensary grows I’m also exploring the best ways to send liquid herbal prescriptions and hope to trial postal prescriptions in the new year.
There’s also some good news for current clients needing a little extra naturopathic support. My preferred online supplement supplier is sending patient orders to your home or work freight-free until January. If you require remedies with your consultation, it’s now even easier to access them. If you’re already signed up for online prescribing, don’t forget you can access natural products from the retail range, including some great gift ideas.
New articles
If you’re already thinking about Christmas logistics, you’re probably familiar with the term “mental load”. Noticing when the toothpaste is running low, juggling everyone else’s appointments and making sure the washing will be clean and folded for Monday morning – are all examples of carrying an invisible and often exhausting mental load. Now, more than ever, is the ideal time to learn to identify and lighten this tiresome burden.
Are you a health business owner and feel like you’re running on empty? Our retreat for health professionals in Bali next year is almost sold out! Early bird special ends on the 31st December but don’t wait to apply, as it may sell out sooner.
With the warmer weather in the Southern hemisphere, this is the perfect time of year to eat more salads. This roasted cauliflower and chickpea dish is ideal for spring and makes a great stand-alone meal or side dish to share. There are a dozen more spring salads in the archive.
