Important dates: end of year update
November update
Does the downhill run to Christmas feel more intense than usual as life returns to some semblance of normality?
I’m noticing the cumulative stress of the past three years is triggering burn out in many of my clients. The impact of living through fires, floods, a pandemic and global uncertainty for so long, is taking its toll.
Like an elastic band that has been over stretched, when we’ve been under pressure for too long, we can’t always snap back after each disaster passes. In fact, when we’ve been exposed to a series of stressful events, our nervous system becomes primed to expect something else to go wrong. This constant stimulus-reaction cycle is exhausting and can be challenging to break.
Important dates
With the move to online dispensing and delivery times, in order to receive your prescription by Christmas, my last clinic session for the year is Wednesday 14 December. That’s only a few weeks away, so please book your consultation now.
Just a reminder, if you’re last appointment was withn the past three months you can book a mini consultation (25 minutes), unless you have a new diagnosis or significant change in health. If it’s been over 3 months, or even 20 years, since our last session please book a regular 55 minute follow-on appointment.
I’ll be back in the new year on 10 January. As always, you can make a booking online at any time.
Meal in a bowl: spring salad
Without a lettuce leaf in sight, this satisfying salad combines cooked veggies, protein of your choice (such as a can of chickpeas) and a tangy dressing that packs a punch. It’s the perfect spring salad! The recipe is flexible enough to transform any vegetables that need to be used up and avoid food waste.
