December update
As the year comes to an end, I’m already very exciting about 2017.
I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Rest, Revitalise and Inspire a retreat for health practitioners, in Bali next year. This collaboration with my friend and colleague Charmaine Dennis (co-founder of Fertile Ground Health Group), is just what a hard-working clinician dreams of. If you’re a health practitioner, we’d love you to join us.
A number of serious health issues have recently hit the headlines, from the tragic “thunderstorm asthma” to the resurgence of scurvy. In response, I’ve put a new crop of topical articles on my website, including how to really get enough vitamin C. Also on the site there’s home remedies to help those still coughing their way through spring and summer, and some refreshing ice block recipes to help cool you down.
Since it’s the season of gift giving, the recipe this month is a little different. This salt scrub is easy to create and makes a beautiful, inexpensive present. If you’re still stuck for a thoughtful present, don’t forget you can purchase one of my gift vouchers online, at any time (even on Christmas morning).
While it’s been a busy month finalising retreat plans and my ongoing work with clients, I was fortunate to have a long weekend away with friends at the beginning of December. The nurturing effects of sea, bush and friendship are a tonic at any time, but switching off for a couple of days during the silly season was especially delicious. Along with the calming practice of meditating and walking regularly, it’s delightful to end 2016 feeling revitalised and inspired for a change. If you’re feeling frazzled, it’s not too late to get back on track with these simple habits.
I will be taking a break over the festive season from 17 December ‘til 10 January but don’t forget you can book your next naturopathic or mentoring session online at any time.
I hope you have a relaxing holiday season.
