Staying healthy in autumn: 2025 edit
As the weather cools, respiratory infection rates rise. Since 2020, we’ve become a lot more aware of viruses and how to avoid them.
It’s time to up your immune system protection and remember to:
- Wash your hands (or use hand sanitiser) after catching public transport or spending time in crowded spaces.
- Get into the habit of washing hands when get home (ordinary soap and water is effective).
- Stay home if feel unwell, don’t spread your germs.
- If you do need to go out or be around others when sick, wear a mask.
It can be easy to get blase about viruses but remember we live amongst people with compromised immune systems in our community, where a virus can be fatal.
