Pop the party streamers – it’s time to celebrate 30 years in practice!
It’s been 30 years since I affixed my shiny plaque on the door of a group practice in Melbourne’s Theosophical Building.
That was only the beginning. Within two years I took over the practice lease, giving the clinic a new name and mini makeover. The late 90s saw City Natural Therapies move to the iconic Manchester Unity Building in Collins St and finally, in 2014, I landed in Sydney and launched my online practice.
I consulted with thousands of clients during my years in Melbourne and feel privileged that so many of you continue working with me from afar. I love how technology keeps us connected.
While many fundamentals of naturopathy haven’t changed over the decades, some of the logistics have. Especially in the past eight years since moving to online bookings, consultations and dispensing. You became pros at telehealth long before the word was part of our vocabulary!
Over the years I‘ve diversified the ways I use my skills from lecturing at the Southern School of Natural Therapies, to spruiking natural healing on 3RRRFM for 20 years and mentoring health practitioners. More recently I found a silver lining in my cancer experience — not only working directly with clients but through advocacy and research.
Thank you!
I look back with pride at that earnest young graduate whose mission was to help people feel better and the emerging practitioner who grew a successful business.
I’m not sure what the coming years holds but I’m so grateful for your support and look forward to seeing you in the (virtual) clinic.
