I held off sending my March newsletter recently. With the devastating floods and conflict in the Ukraine, it doesn’t feel comfortable celebrating right now.
My thoughts are with those who are affected. If you need any naturopathic or mentoring support, please let me know your circumstances and I’ll get back to you with what I can offer.
For those in the mood for a little good news, please continue reading the updates.
Celebrating 30 years in practice
It’s been 30 years since I affixed my shiny plaque on the door of a group practice in Melbourne’s Theosophical Building.
This kind of longevity in my profession is sadly uncommon. It’s a privilege to continue to be in it for the long haul!
Read about what happened next, how my work has diversified over the years and of course, my immense gratitude to you for coming on this journey with me.
Recipe: soba noodle bowl
In keeping with the tropical weather in Sydney, I’ve been eating lots of salads. Each one is different but I usually follow this salad template so there’s some crunch, tang, salt, protein and of course lots of vegetables.
I love the taste and mouthfeel of soba noodles. My latest recipe features chilled soba as a ‘bowl’ or salad. Combined with greens, protein and pickles it’s a satisfying, gut-friendly, one-dish wonder that takes minutes to make.

Ariya, who dispense my herbal prescriptions, has recently digitalised their online patient ordering system. The next time I prescribe herbs for you, keep an eye on your inbox for an email from them. You’ll be asked to activate your account and finalise the order online. If you have any problems with this, please let me know (or contact Ariya directly on 1300 768 963).
Unfortunately, supply chain and delivery issues are persisting across all my ‘practitioner only’ remedy dispensaries, increasing the time for herbs and supplements to reach you. So you don’t run out of remedies, please make sure your next appointment is booked at least a week before your herbs and supplements run low.
Home remedies for respiratory viruses flus and colds
Recently I shared an Instagram and Facebook Live about remedies you’re likely to have on hand should you develop a sore throat, sinus congestion and other upper respiratory symptoms. If you’d like to know more about managing these symptoms, have a look at the video on my YouTube channel.
There are now 95 videos on the channel, including some interviews with people I find inspiring in the health world.
