May update
Please note I’m currently on holiday and will be back on 17 June 2015.
My first autumn in Sydney has been a momentous one, with cyclonic weather and a monumental hailstorm. Like many of my neighbours, our house sprung a few leaks and the hail did its worst to the garden. But we all pitched in and helped each other.
It was quite a week. For some, dealing with hair-raising storms is a good enough excuse to have a few drinks but I’ve been taking a break from alcohol. The latest statistics show I’m right on trend, as Australians are now drinking less than they have for fifty years. Despite this good news, on average women continue to consume more than the safe drinking guidelines recommend. This got me thinking a lot about women and alcohol, as I’ve seen so many wonderful clients struggle.
This month’s newsletter highlights include an article on pain-free ways to have a break from booze, a run down on recent Health Q&A Monday videos and a simple recipe for gado gado. If you missed the newsletter you can read it online (and don’t forget to sign up so you don’t miss next month’s!)
I hope to put this chaotic weather behind me for a few weeks as I’m now officially on holiday. I’m spending three glorious weeks in South America and will be back in the office on 17 June. I’ll be taking a short break from Health Q&A Monday during this time but in the meantime you’re still welcome to send me your questions.
In the meantime you can still book your Wellbeing Plan, coaching and professional supervisions sessions easily online. Don’t forget to keep a note of your password, as you can log back in at any time if you need to make any changes.
I look forward to catching up with you next month,
Gill
