October update
I’m just back from Melbourne, seeing clients in my old hometown for the third time this year. I enjoyed the spring blossoms and glimpses of blue skies, but the chilly nights were a bit of a shock. As always it’s a pleasure to see old and new clients in person. If you missed out, please let me know if you’d like to be added to my Melbourne consultation notification list.
I was also working with clients on the same day three years ago, however that October day ended up with an unexpected trip to hospital. My journey through these past few years has been eye-opening, personally and professionally. At my recent check up I got the amazing news that not only am I in great health but am highly likely to remain cancer-free.
To celebrate this landmark, I’ve begun exploring my experience of cancer in a series of articles. In particular, I’m looking at life after treatment, when we’re told just to get on with life. In this limbo zone, conventional medicine pays little attention to our physical and emotional recovery, let alone preventing a recurrence. Part one is about love, luck and cancer. Please feel free to share the post with anyone you know in a similar situation, and sign up to the newsletter so you don’t miss the next installments.
Also new this month is an exploration of the healthy eating phenomenon. When is so-called healthy eating dangerous, and how can you tell the difference between a healthful diet and an eating disorder? Speaking of food, I’ve shared my recipe for marinated olives. I’ve been making them for over 20 years, and they also make an enjoyable homemade gift. (yes, Christmas is only two months away).
With the festive season hurtling towards us, it’s not too late to adopt some of these clever strategies to help healthily navigate busy times.
For targeted and effective treatment to help you cruise through the season, don’t forget I can work with you anywhere in the world by Skype/phone. The booking options have been updated to include a discounted three session package for ongoing clients. This package is now available for both naturopathic health coaching and business coaching/professional supervision sessions.
I hope you’re enjoying watching spring/autumn unfold in your part of the world.
