July update: home
It’s delightful to be home.
My feet are back on the ground and I’m hanging out for some hygge.
It’s been a delightful few months of flying around the globe, with a family holiday in Europe and our practitioner intensive in Bali.
After all the busy-ness I created my own solo retreat in an idyllic Balinese village by the sea, for some reflection on my own life and work.
Time out, with few distractions, is a gift that can be easy to forget we need. For five days I got up at dawn to walk along the beach to welcome the new day. At sunset I traversed the sand again. There were lots of early nights and delicious local food. During the day I swam, wrote, plotted, walked, rested and day dreamed. Simplicity. It was the bliss I deeply needed.
Balance is an illusion
It might sound like I’d achieved balance, but in reality, it was just a living in a bubble – a time to replenish before life throws another curve ball. The act of balancing is one of action, not stasis. The moment when the scales are perfectly even is only ever fleeting. If you’re craving balance, or feeling wired, tired or just of out wack, take a look at my top five allies to help you with your balancing act.
The winter solstice has now passed and the days are slowly lengthening. The solstice theme is time for reflection, letting go of what no longer serves us and feeling more comfortable with our own darkness.
