February update
What a wild and busy month it’s been already, and it’s not even over yet.
I had my first Melbourne client session for the year on Valentine’s day. As always, it’s delightful to share a pot of herbal tea over a consultation with old and new clients. I will be back in April if you’d like to see me then. While in the city, I ran a practitioner workshop at one of the country’s best specialist multi-disciplinary clinics. If you’re a clinic owner who’d like to inspire your clinicians to better promote their brand, please get in touch.
Over the last two month’s we’ve been working through a long list of home improvements including installing raised garden beds in the courtyard and transforming our small living room into a cosy library.
Through the door lies my new work space. I can’t tell you how excited I am to transform the old shopfront into a home clinic. The house has been rearranged, furniture shifted and a few minor repairs are in the process of being completed. This house began life as the corner store almost 120 years ago; it’s exciting to reopen the street door to the community once again.
Sydney, like most parts of Australia, is experiencing All The Weathers this summer, from 30c nights to wild storms. On the warm nights we’ve been eating and cooking outside as much as possible. As a meat-free household, we don’t miss out on barbecues. Take a look at what’s been on the grill lately. These vegan barbecue recipes are also handy when cooking for a variety of dietary preferences and supplement an omnivorous spread.
Mediterranean countries also know a lot about living in the heat and eating a lot of plant foods. Each year new research adds to the extensive body of evidence proving that these countries lead the way in healthy eating. The latest study comes out of Australia and shows that this type of diet can reduce the severity of even a major episode of depression. But what is the “Mediterranean diet” and why should you follow it?
Putting on a major event is also keeping me busy. Rest, revitalise and inspire, our practitioner retreat in Bali in May/June, is causing a lot of excitement. If you’re a health practitioner and would like be part of this amazing event, take advantage of the generous early bird rates now, as they’re ending soon.
Despite the busy-ness, I still prioritise time to help you with your health or mentoring. Don’t forget you can book an online consultation, at anytime.
I hope you have a great month, whatever the season.
