July update
Winter has well and truly settled into my bones in Sydney. I’m enjoying spending more time at home and embracing some longer nights in the safe harbour of a warm bed.
As the darker months are traditionally a time of solitude and contemplation, isolation seems a fitting theme to explore in this month. Isolation keeps popping up as a theme for many of my coaching and supervision clients. Working alone, I’m also acutely aware of the potential to feel professionally and socially isolated. If you also work from home or are feeling socially disconnected, take a look at my tips for beating isolation.
“You end up isolated if you don’t cultivate the capacity for solitude…Solitude is where you find yourself, so you can reach out to other people and form real attachments.”

In other news, earlier in the year I ran a successful group supervision program for emerging practitioners. At the participants’ request, I’m offering stand-alone, practitioner supervision group sessions. The sessions are open to naturopaths, herbalists, massage therapists and other allied health professionals. The first teleseminar is on August 4th, as places are limited get in touch now if you’re interested in joining. Group sessions are also a great way to connect with peers and overcome the isolation of being a sole practitioner.
As always, I continue to work holistically with individuals who want to improve their health and happiness. If you’re struggling with the winter blues or are ready to kick start some positive lifestyle changes, you can book a session directly online. For new clients the Wellbeing Plan is your starting point, while Step 2 is for existing naturopathic or coaching clients. I also work individually with practitioners wanting to boost their clinical confidence or improve their business skills, and coach small business people struggling with boundaries.
I hope you are embracing the riches the season has to offer.
In good health,
Gill
