Home remedies to relieve viral symptoms
In my neighbourhood at the moment, if you haven’t got that damn virus (or previously had it) chances are you live next door to someone that does!
Currently BA.2 is doing its worst in Sydney and many other parts of the world.
As my friends are finding out, this virus will knock you around with fevers, reduced urination, loss of appetite, sore throat and generally feeling miserable.
Home remedies for respiratory viruses
Other than stocking up on your favourite immune supplements (mine are Vitamins A, C, D and zinc), you’ll be surprised by what you might have in your pantry that could ease some of your symptoms.
Recently I shared an Instagram live to make it easier for you to take care of yourself and loved ones if you’re laid low by this lurgy. Take a look.
Takeaways from the video about respiratory care
Sore throats: gargles, vitamin C, thyme tea, manuka or thyme honey.
Upper/lower respiratory infections: steam inhalations, small regular medicinal doses of vitamin C, echinacea, elderflower tea.
Preventing post-viral syndromes: brain fog, depression and fatigue.
Convalescence! Rest, rest, rest. Ease back into life gently.
