Happy New Year
It was with mixed emotions I closed the door on City Natural Therapies in early January. Having been a city-based naturopath for 22 years, it feels odd to no longer have a footprint in the CBD.
Paradoxically, with the closing of the clinic, I have more energy to begin my gradual return to work. In this new phase of my naturopathic career, I’ve distilled all I’ve learned from the last couple of decades of clinical practice and created an opportunity to work more widely with people who are ready to change their life, regardless of where they live.
I will be officially launching the health and happiness coaching service in a couple of months. In the meantime I’m inviting existing naturopathic clients who would like to get their health back on track to get in touch. These distance sessions are a hybrid of how we’ve always worked face to face in clinic, as well as some health coaching techniques. The focus is on what you can do, rather than what remedies you can consume, to optimise your health and happiness.
Although the format is evolving, the message remains the same. It’s about finding ways to eat that nourish your body and soul, move to keep you limber and a reminder to be kind to yourself, to melt stress and infuse joy into daily life.
If you’re a current client and would like to book a session, I have limited appointments available on weekdays and some Saturday’s. You can still contact me on (03)9650 3419 (the clinic number will be diverted until May) or email coaching (at) gillstannard (dot) com (dot) au. New clients, thanks for your patience, I will let you know when I am opening my books for health coaching.
On a personal note
I’ve been overwhelmed by the kindness so many of you have showered on me by way of emails, cards and phone messages, since my last update. Thank you so much, it all helps.
I am responding well to treatment and navigating this interesting chapter in my life with lots of love and support. But now it’s time to give back, once more.
Plans for the big move to Sydney are underway and I hope to relocate to the Harbour Sydney in May/June.
