Run out of milk for your cereal or smoothie? This makes a good alternative and is sugar/fructose/dairy-free.
(Makes 3 cups)
Soak 1 cup almonds in purified water over night or for at least 3 hours
Drain and discard the water.
Blend almonds with 3 cups fresh purified water and 1 teaspoon good quality vanilla extract or paste
Strain through a fine sieve or muslin and use the juice, as you would milk. It seems a waste to discard the pulp, try adding it to porridge.
