Do you ever get a crush on a website? There’s that rush of excitement when you turn on your computer, wondering if they’ve posted something new. In the first flush of attraction you can spend hours trawling through old posts, exclaiming at the gems you find. There’s a sense of feeling connected and inspired by what they write.
I feel a bit like that with Zen Habits at the moment and it has prompted me to start an occasional blog series I’ve called “Spotlight” where I highlight a site, book, person or even place that is inspiring me at the moment.
I’ve been passionate about simplicity for the past decade and the creator of Zen Habits, Leo Babatua obviously shares my passion. His site is “dedicated to finding simplicity in the daily chaos of our lives”. I’m guessing he knows a lot about chaos, having six children.
I got lured to the site by a reference in a newsletter I subscribe to mentioning a post on ways doing less can transform your work life that is full of reminders on how to regain your boundaries at work.
There are some great guest posts, like this one from Annabel Candy on delcluttering and stress free ways to move house – if you are even remotely thinking about moving sometime in the next year read this post right now!
The posts are punchy, motivating and practical. I’d suggest you start with ”Ideas to simplify your life to get a taste of what he has to offer.
What’s inspiring you at the moment? Feel free to leave a comment.
