That’s degrees celsius for those of us in Victoria and South Australia in particular, who are facing a hot, dry, windy week. With predictions that Melbourne folk may have their hottest week in 100 years it’s a good time to remember a few simple ways to keep cool.
With babies and toddlers in nappies – keep an eye on their output. Less than usual wet nappies (diapers) means they are dehydrated.
My favourite public place for hot days is my local library. Most are air conditioned, have comfy chairs, magazines, computers and of course, books. A great place to cool down and get informed.
A trip to the movies will also keep you cool and out of the sun for a couple of hours.
If you are heading for the beach or pool, take some shade with you, keep an eye on your fluid intake and avoid getting burnt.
